The simple rules

You are closing down to your split when the area is hot, but you go further away when their area is cold. The problem with this is that if your split hits while you are “away”, betting Even Chances (High Low) or Dozens, which will not make up your losses. So there is the bad scenario of your split hitting when you are away from it.
